Smart Broker Solutions can assist Money Managers with the incorporation of a Maltese Investment Services company: a Category 2 investment services license under the MFSA (Malta Financial Services Authority), with a view to provide investment advice and discretionary investment services relating to FX and FX related products. The target clients shall be institutional, professional and retail.
A Category 2 license would essentially authorise the license holder to provide investment advice, to receive and transmit orders in relation to one or more investment instruments, to manage accounts on a discretionary basis but not to operate a multilateral trading facility or deal for their own account or underwrite or place instruments on a firm commitment basis. The minimum initial capital that a Category 2 License holder is required to have amounts to €125,000.
We help our clients with all the procedures for the registration and incorporation of the Investment Company in Malta, and the licensing thereof by the Malta Financial Services Authority (the ‘MFSA’) to provide asset management and advisory services in terms of a Category 2 License that would be eventually issued by the MFSA in favor of the Investment Company.
